Children who lost parents in the war are brought to the SOS Children’s Village in Gaza

January 4 2024 - The first group of children who have lost their parents or caregivers in the Gaza war have arrived at the SOS Children's Village Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip. Up to 55 children will be cared for in the children’s village under an agreement with a partner agency.

I could not feed my children properly,” Tsehay says. “If I gave them breakfast, there were times when I could not feed them for the rest of the day."

Better care for a girl rescued from the streets

December 12 2023 - Mariam,13, is drawing a colorful house with a garden, a clothesline, and a play area on her pink manilla paper – a clear indication that she is thinking about home. Three days a week, Mariam and 15 other children aged 10-13 come to this art class at a rehabilitation centre in Ethiopia to draw whatever comes to their mind.
