SOS Children's Villages Pakistan sends medicine, tents and 744,000 meals to flood victims

September 2 2010 - 02/09/2010 - Several truckloads and airlifts with food, medical supplies and tents from SOS Children's Villages have already reached dozens of towns in Pakistan's flood-affected areas to provide children and families with the bare necessities of survival.

Tibetan SOS Children's Villages help in Leh-Ladakh

August 17 2010 - 17/08/2010 - Tsewang Yeshi, the President of SOS Children's Villages for Tibetans with its head office in Dharamsala, tells us about the current situation of the children's village in Leh-Ladakh, which is situated on the river Indus, and very near to areas affected by flooding. The village, the second largest worldwide with 34 family houses (the largest one is in Dharamsala), is 7 km from the town of Leh in the Ladakh region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. He explains how the village is reaching out to those in the community who have been affected.

Floods in Pakistan and northern India

August 9 2010 - 07/08/2010 - All children, co-workers and facilities of SOS Children's Villages in Pakistan and northern India are unaffected by the devastating floods in the region. SOS Children's Villages Pakistan has offered its assistance to the government with focus on temporary shelter for unaccompanied children.
