Day of the African Child: Noma overcomes a difficult start to pursue her education

June 16 2024 - The Day of the African Child raises public awareness about issues affecting children, such as access to quality education. Noma’s story is one of resilience and potential. Although she was among the estimated 35 million children without parental care in Africa, she managed to overcome difficult circumstances.

Children and staff have been displaced from the SOS Children's Village in Rafah

May 30 2024 - On 28 May, SOS Children's Villages started an emergency relocation of children and adults from the village in Rafah due to a dramatically heightened security risk. All 33 children residing at the location in Rafah arrived unharmed at an alternative location in central Gaza.
