Linh finds her voice as a teacher and advocate
September 29 2025
-

Statement
Our commitment to truth and family tracing support in Syria
July 31 2025

SOS Children’s Villages expresses our deepest sorrow for the suffering endured by children and families during the war in Syria. We remain committed to uncovering the truth about the children forcibly separated from their families by the former regime - and to supporting their reunification.
PRESS RELEASE
500 days after evacuation from Gaza, children “dream of peace and returning home”
July 23 2025
-
Today marks 500 days since SOS Children’s Villages evacuated 68 children, along with 11 caregivers and their families, from the SOS Children's Village in Rafah due to the imminent threat of a ground attack. The evacuation was seen as a temporary measure to remove them from immediate danger. Since then, the SOS Children’s Village in Rafah has been completely destroyed by Israeli bombardment.
Statement
Protecting children’s privacy in Syria
July 11 2025
-
We are deeply concerned by recent online posts speculating about the identity of children previously in our care and targeting staff with unverified accusations. SOS Children’s Villages condemns any form of doxxing, harassment, or publication of children’s images without their explicit consent. These actions not only spread misinformation, they also risk causing harm to those involved.

First birthday in a tent: Baby Karam brings hope in the displaced SOS Children’s Village
June 2 2025
-
In the middle of a tent encampment in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, the unmistakable sounds of joy broke through the usual tension of daily survival. Children clapped and danced around a simple homemade cake. There were decorations, songs, and laughter. For a few hours, the weight of war lifted -because baby Karam* had turned one.

‘Conditions are worsening by the day’ - SOS Children’s Villages protects children amid deepening crisis
May 21 2025
-
In Khan Younis and northern Gaza, thousands of displaced families are living in overcrowded camps with little or no access to essential services. Food, clean water, and fuel are critically scarce. Amid the chaos, SOS Children’s Villages continues to provide care to children, even as conditions grow increasingly dire.
